NONA Stories Set – Naturally Dyed Fine Threads in Paulownia Box

A special collection of naturally dyed cotton threads, each one hand-dyed using multiple botanical dyes to create subtle, layered color gradations.
These threads are ideal for temari making, sashiko, embroidery, and other needlework.

Threads That Tell a Story

At NONA, we value craft with a story
This NONA Stories set is a reflection of that ethos.
Each color in this collection was born from the emotions and inspirations of the maker—memories of scenery, changes in season, quiet joys.
By weaving complex gradations of color, we hope to share the sense of wonder that led us to create these threads.
We believe your hands will take this story further, into something new.

About the Box

The set is presented in a handmade paulownia wood box, traditionally used in Japan for storing rice, tea, and other dry goods.
Paulownia wood is naturally resistant to moisture and pests, making it ideal for preserving your threads.
Soft and lightweight, the box is perfectly sized to fit NONA’s card threads—and doubles as a beautiful, long-lasting storage case.

- Wash gently with neutral detergent and dry in the shade.

Note:

Paulownia is a soft wood and can dent easily. Keep in a dry place to avoid mold.
