"MIZUBE – The beauty of waterside scenery."
A sashiko pattern capturing the quiet beauty of waterside scenery.
This elegant design features "Kuguri Stitch" (くぐり刺し) — a traditional Japanese Sashiko technique where threads are woven through existing stitches to create depth and texture.
The motif evokes a scene of withered leaves dancing in the wind, brought to life through delicate layering and natural rhythm.
You Will Need to Prepare:
- Threads
Required amount (approx.): 70–80 m
The sample cloth shown in the image was stitched using “NONA Fine Thread” (thickness equivalent to one strand of DMC No. 25 embroidery floss). Please feel free to use any thread you like.

- DARUMA Sashiko Sampler with 3mm grid guide
