Eto thread "Horse" - NONA Fine Thread

In Japan, there is a long-standing belief that animals possess mystical powers.
This belief became intertwined with the twelve zodiac signs, and it led to the custom of displaying zodiac-inspired animal ornaments at the entrance or in the living room to welcome Toshigami-sama, the deity of the New Year.

At NONA, we create an annual “Eto thread” series to celebrate the zodiac through craft.
Following the Dragon from two years ago and the Snake last year, this year we designed a botanical-dyed yarn set inspired by the Horse.

The set includes two gradient colors that evoke the form and spirit of the horse.
Associated with strength and forward momentum, the Horse is considered a highly auspicious sign symbolizing good fortune, success, growth, determination, and safety in travel.

We hope that our Eto thread brings you joy and helps you welcome a wonderful year ahead.
