For me, looking back on this year is part of my preparation for the new year.
I would like to look back at 2021, the first year of NONA.

In 2021, TEMARICIOUS will be disbanded as each member pursues their own path, and for me, it was a year of great change as I started from almost nothing, searching for a new location.
Through various connections, we decided to launch a new brand called NONA in the current location, and as if it were a lie, we had the keys to the new location in April.
I was really lucky to meet Mr. Iwama who took over the store's 14-year history and designed the interior design, and we had a lot of fun renovating and doing some DIY work.
I like creating things from scratch, so this might be just the thing for me.
It was a good opportunity to stop and think about what is important to a brand.
DIY days
The staff were really helpful. It was a good experience for manufacturing brands as it shifted their thinking from "buying" to "making".
We opened on May 9, 2021 with everyone's blessings. Thank you very much for all the flowers. How many times have I cried because of your passionate feelings?
Temari classroom
With two instructors, we have steadily expanded and are currently holding the following classes. It was a miracle that everyone was able to stay healthy and hold the event regularly despite the coronavirus pandemic, and we are grateful for that.
The curriculum that we had been building up since the Temaricious era has become more systematized and the content has been enriched since becoming NONA. I think this has become part of the curriculum of the NONA Temari Classroom.
Currently, people from overseas and all over Japan, as well as people from their 20s to their 80s, are learning temari. I love the time I spend making temari, and I want to cherish everyone's time in the same way.
I'm really happy that my fun instructor, Mocchi, is also loved by everyone! Her excursion Temari is also really popular! This is a very popular class that is booked out even before the menu is decided!

Plant dyeing class at Atelier NONA
We would like to thank everyone who participated in the ``Atelier NONA Plant Dyeing Class'' held by Nakazawa, a dyer whose goal was to ``continue for one year.'' We learned a lot each time. I think it's a great class to be able to see the dyeing process with his outstanding sense. Plant dyeing is something that anyone can do, but I believe that experiencing the sensibilities of instructors is the best inspiration.
Next year as well, we are planning to change the dyeing materials based on the theme of ``fragrance'', so please look forward to it.
ITO WORKSHOP
Temari accessories and thread accessories made with NONA thread and NONA fine thread. I wish I could tell you a little bit about it at the store. Instructor Hirano made this highly requested workshop possible.
Gather those who love making small items! It looks like they are coming up with a fun and cute workshop menu for next year as well. I'm looking forward to it.
NONA BUFFET
The single item sales event evolved into the Nona Buffet. Somehow, this project is left up to the staff, and I enjoy working with the customers. I especially like the interaction between Mocchi and Nakazawa on Instagram Live. It takes a lot of continuous effort for a small shop to host this monthly event. Staff member Yoshikako Yoshika, who retired in the summer, was handed the leadership baton to staff member Rie Sasaki, and she started running again in the fall. Image Instruction has also become a girlfriend, and as we all know, it has become even deeper.
I usually take the image photos, but I leave the buffet photos to Temari instructor Mocchi. Please take a look at the photos taken by Sasaki Styling and Mocchi.
The individual item sales event, which was originally intended for the online Temari class, has now been visited by many sashiko fans, embroidery fans, and customers other than the Temari class, and we are very grateful to each and every month. Thank you to the staff in charge of shipping as well. He is NONA's unsung hero.

Vegetable dyeing business
2021 marks Nakazawa's first year as the main dyer. We talked more about what is important about plant materials and actively tried out new materials. Above all, at NONA, Nakazawa and I love plants... The two of us grew various things and picked up plants in 2021! Thank you to everyone who shared so many plants with us!
The vegetable dyeing kit has also been completed. Nakazawa's special vegetable dyeing kit comes in a stylish package and is small enough to be made at home. The editing of the video gave a glimpse of Nakazawa's kind personality, and even the staff members were moved.
Vogue's annual yarn festival, Itoma! I continued to participate in Temalicious. We have also added a wool dyeing video to coincide with the event. Please take a look at the video.
We also took on the challenge of receiving a contract from a company to do vegetable dyeing.
We were entrusted with the vegetable dyeing of cotogoto's original products in Koenji. Nakatsu Hoki's custom made hand brooms are also introduced here ! We also welcomed them to the NONA store, and the staff scrambled to clean it up! Broom sorghum is really cute.
Tulip's embroidery kit is now on sale. We collaborated on a kit with a luxurious combination of plant dyeing, aroma, and embroidery . Mr. Tulip came to our meetings even before NONA's office was established, and we are grateful to him for trusting us from the bottom of his heart even though we had nothing else to do.
Temari business
We are also continuing to deliver the Cohana Temari hexagonal small boxes that we have been providing since the Temaricious era. The person in charge is also learning temari, and I'm really happy that the cute temari often appears on Cohana's Instagram. An idea to put small temari in a small box! It's really nice.
Delivery of temari for hotel interior will be completed next spring. I am currently making a large temari. I hope to be able to introduce you again next year.
Of course, the Cotton Friend (Boutique Publishing ) series will continue! I remember when Cotton Friend featured NONA first! We didn't have a shop, so it was fun to take pictures in the office with plywood laid out! Thank you, Editor-in-Chief N. In 2022, we are planning to introduce more NONA temari.
NONA Tsuzura
Should I make a set of tsuzura or not? The timing to make such a decision was the summer of 2021. In the summer, you have to start the so-called ``preparation'' to create products in a small shop. It's all handmade so it takes a lot of time. We have a lot of staff who don't give up (lol), so let's make it! It happened.
NONA Tsuzura “wraps” your heart. The days that each staff member worked towards their schedules are precious. The threads are packed carefully and carefully. Each color has its own unique character, and we can look at the color and material and remember when it was dyed. After it was successfully released and shipped a large amount, it became like an empty shell (lol).
I've been running like crazy this year, so December flew by. Thanks to you, my happy and creative days continue. I enjoyed creating things with my friends, and I also loved the time I had to work on myself, even though it was limited.
I think everyone's busyness is the same no matter where you are. The staff grumbled. ``I never once woke up in the morning and felt like I didn't want to go.'' These words really hit home for me.
I can't believe I'm able to create such a workplace!

NONA is still in its infancy. There are so many things I want to do, and there are so many things that are incomplete and immature, but I would be really happy if you would continue to support me next year!
