紅花セット - にほんのいろ -

山形の紅花を使い、心を込めて染めた草木染め糸セットです。
手まりや刺し子、刺繍など幅広いものづくりにお使いいただけます。

桐は、湿気から糸を守るのにとても適した素材です。
保存箱として使っていただけるよう、NONAの糸にぴったりなサイズの桐箱を選びました。

包装紙に植物のイラストを採用しました。
縁起木からのびる枝や実が、皆さまの幸せを祈ってくれています。
お守りとして小さなピンクの粒手まりがついています。
プレゼントにもおすすめなパッケージです。

「半夏一輪咲き」といわれるように日本に残る紅花の産地・山形では
7月上旬に花弁が鮮やかな紅色の花を咲かせます。
紅花は呉藍（くれあい）とも呼ばれ、「呉（現在の中国）から来た染料」の
名前の通り、染料として広く利用されていました。
薬草や食用にも使われる植物で、花から抽出される紅花油は美容や健康にも役立ちます。

実は紅花の色素のほとんどは黄色で、紅色はわずか1％です。
その貴重な紅色を、山形の紅餅から取り出して染めました。
美しき魅惑の紅色は、古も今も多くの人の心を惹きつけてやみません。

As the name "Hange Ichirin-zaki" suggests, safflower blooms with vibrant red petals in early July in Yamagata, the region in Japan where safflowers are still cultivated. 
Safflower, also called "Kureai," was widely used as a dye, and its name comes from the dye that originated in Wu (modern-day China). 
This plant is also used as an herb and for food, and the safflower oil extracted from its flowers is beneficial for beauty and health.

In fact, most of the pigment in safflower is yellow, with red making up only about 1%. This rare red color is extracted and dyed from the safflower cake grown in Yamagata. 
The beautiful and captivating red continues to enchant the hearts of many, both in the past and present.

草木染め糸は手染めのため、色むらがあることがございます。
ロットにより色が異なったり、同じ色でも染め素材が異なることがあります。
桐箱は柔らかい木材です。凹み傷がつきやすいのでご注意ください。
また湿気でカビが生えることがあります。乾燥した場所で保管してください。

Wash with neutral detergent only and dry in shade.

This paulownia box is handmade in Japan.
Kiri boxes are used for storing all kinds of dry goods especially rice and grains. 
Made of deciduous hardwood, paulownia wood is lightweight and naturally
resistant to pest and moisture, but easily scratched.
